The Practice Nurse
We are currently recruiting a practice nurse. We have a locum nurse covering until we have a permanent nurse in place.
The Practice Nurse covers all aspects of Practice Nursing including Chronic Disease Management, Vaccinations and Immunisations, Smoking Cessation, Dietary advice, Contraception advice and cervical cytology.
Mrs Nayana Patel is responsible for the smooth running of the practices and liaising with members of the practice team.
The Practice Team
The first people you meet at the Reception Desk are Patricia Leary, Elaine Cheung, Carol James, Mandy Taylor-Nichols, Ella Highland, Bernie Matthews, Carol Hegarty and Wendy Palmer managing admin, the data read coding task. They answer the phone, make appointments, and handle requests for prescriptions and all reception tasks. Mr Vin Lal deals with scanning, filing and general tasks of the both practices.
The District Nurses
The District Nurses are attached to the practice and will care for patients at home if necessary.
Due to recent changes, all patients at all GP practices now have to be allocated to a named GP. This will not change how you receive care currently and you are still free to see any doctor that you wish. If you would like to know who your named GP is then please ask at Reception.
